Inspired by the UNC-Chapel Hill’s Civil War Day-by-Day, I decided blog the experiences of my ancestors (the best I can determine them) during the same time period. Most of my four paternal and maternal Great-Great-Grandfathers serviced in the Confederate Army or had to be pardoned for their part in aiding the Confederate forces.
I won’t come close to the post-a-day bar set by UNC, but thought I’d take the opportunity to share what I do know on significant dates.
